Collect rows from tables and listings, include multiple pages, and download a file you can use in a spreadsheet.

## Example request

> Export all orders from this month as a CSV. Include the order number, customer, date, amount, and payment status.

## Start with the page that contains your data

Open the orders table, product listing, or directory you want to export. If the site requires an account, sign in to that site first. Sidelight AI Assistant uses your existing browser session to read the page you ask about.

Open the assistant from the Chrome toolbar or press Command + Shift + K on Mac. On Windows, use Ctrl + Shift + K. Tell it which records you need and name the columns you want in the file.

## Specify the fields and scope

A precise request helps avoid extra columns and incomplete results. State the date range, any filters, and whether you need the current page or every available page. For product listings, useful fields might include the product name, displayed price, availability, and product URL.

- Apply the site's filters before asking for an export.
- Name the columns and the order you want them in.
- Say whether to include all pages or only the visible records.
- Ask for a CSV download if you need a file rather than a table in the conversation.

## Review the result before using it

The assistant can extract HTML tables, accessible grids, and repeated card layouts. When the site supports pagination, it can collect data across multiple pages. Check the number of exported records against the site, then compare a few rows with the original page.

Check currencies, dates, and missing fields before using the file for reporting. The assistant should identify information it cannot reach rather than fill in missing values. A site may limit access to some records, use an unsupported view, or prevent an export from completing.

## Use the CSV in your spreadsheet

Download the file and open it in your spreadsheet application. Keep identifiers such as order numbers as text if leading zeros matter. You can then filter, sort, or summarize the records without copying each row by hand.

Only extract data you are authorized to access, and follow the source website's terms. Sidelight AI Assistant does not grant access to records your account cannot already view.

## Try this on a page you use
